steel & tenderness of light…

the sunlight
in its rise
I caught kissing
dewdrops
dressing the
grass
and think
of tenderness
and steel
I can see
your light
kissing
my sharp
blades
your lips forged
with strength
and gentleness
smoothing
rough edges
polishing
rust & oxidation
left by all the
weeping branches
and leaves
of all my befores
& their
broken trees
dripping
insensitive
acidic
rain
